WHAT: The 2015 Detroit Auto Show part 2 / part 1

Again, we’re back just like the Red Wings #GoWings!  I am excited to present part 2 of the heeltote.com experience at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at the Cobo Center in Detroit.  At the time we are announcing this 2015 Detroit Auto Show review, NAIAS has happened in New York.

This year we’ll show you the vehicles, presentations, and exhibits that stood out for us at the Cobo Center in Detroit.  Last year we presented our experience in a series of haikus to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.  NAIAS originated in Detroit so of course heeltote.com had to go to the auto show here in Motor City.

But first, we named this event review "Princess for a Day” for two reasons - a ship and a friendship.  The Cobo Center is located in an Automobile National Heritage Area along the Detroit River.  On a walk along the nearby riverfront we found the ‘Detroit Princess’ ship and a river of ice.

“Broken but still whole | floating ice water as guide | ride the wavy tide.” 

Historically, the Detroit River was used for centuries by Natives for travel, trade and food.  Then settlers used the river the same way until 1870 when companies began to dump their industrial waste into it.  Clean-up of the polluted river began in the 1970s.  Today the Detroit River is being developed as a recreational resource with greenways along its banks.

On our winter excursion we saw floating ice on the river and this has inspired the Breakaway Ice ‘Heeltote Haikus’.

Ford F-100: The 1966 Ford F-100 Off-Road Racer is a multi-championship-winning race truck named “Hay Hauler.”

This F-100 started on the farm and in 1987 was converted into a Baja race truck that was driven to victory in the Baja 1000.  This F-100 is known to be one of the most memorable desert race trucks ever created!

Military: We saw this Military Carrier Vehicle on display.

And no, this is not a Post Office Box it’s a Military Fighting Vehicle.

What the military is going to release is generally TOP SECRET.  Auto show attendees got to have a peek at recent releases.

Literally, there was a Military Cannon on display with which heeltote.com and attendees played peek-a-boo through the lengthy tubular device.  Attention would be buyers: the priceless various expressions are not included with the cannon.

­­The World’s First 3-D Printed Car: This 3-D printed car can be built in only 44 hours, seemingly before the ink dries on your purchase order.  It doesn’t get more futuristic than this at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show!

	3-D Printer:  What is needed to create a futuristic 3-D vehicle? A computer and a huge 3-D printer.

LexusRift (Oculus): Oculus gaming wearable technology has teamed up with Lexus for the LexusRift.  How it works is images on the LCD screen show what each eye sees in the Oculus.

	Just look around. It seems Virtual Reality is virtually everywhere.

	Lexus Race Car: This Lexus race car has lots of style.

	We like the holographic effect which can be found in clothing and accessories.  Find holographic items in Heeltote Shop.

	Lexus Interior Colors: Don’t have a car in the race yet?  Well you can still finish first by selecting the interior color, it's finish, for your Lexus. Lexus Interior Colors are just as important as its exterior colors to motivate the driver in the race car.

	Chevrolet Volt Electric Vehicle (EV): Next we raced over to the bright lights on other side of the floor to see what was All-New.

	Tesla S 70D EV: As opposed to their conventional counterparts, Electric Vehicles may not have yet taken off. But this has not stopped Tesla from producing a highly innovative and attractive Tesla Model S 70D mainstream luxury car which 70D is supposed to be comparable to a BMW.

	The new Tesla Model S 70D can go from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. As of April 8 2015 Tesla has stopped selling its Model S 60 which, with one charge, could go from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds!

	Toyota FV-2: This is a cool looking Toyota FV-2 and the presenter is not too bad himself.

	Mercedes-Benz: One word...sophistication.
